Celebrating 30 Years!
I wanted to take this opportunity to let all of our wonderful customers and friends know how incredibly grateful and thankful I personally am for putting your trust in us all of these years. Every single day I am so incredibly grateful for your friendship with us, and your trust in us.
For those of you that don’t know, it all began 30 years ago, the day before my birthday, in a bedroom that I was staying in, in my brother’s home. I decided now was the time after personally performing research as well as training new-hires throughout a big portion of the United States. So, with some money saved CRRG was born, on literally a wing and a prayer.
I bought an Apple computer (of course), purchased a big fax machine and did what anyone in my position would do. . . I headed to the courthouse. Of course, I had no clients and no potential clients either as I had been living in Georgia researching before I headed back home to Texas. I still remember calling my business minded dad who lived in Florida at the time. He said, “Rebecca what are you doing? Why are you buying equipment? You don’t even have a job!”
I began walking around the courthouses looking for work and before long I had met some friends that were in the research business that let me do some of their work, and little by little I started to get some clients of my own. I met a friend in Tarrant County that let me use his office to send clients their work, and I met another friend in Dallas that let me use his equipment as well. I will never forget the kindnesses I was given by such wonderful people.
I remember those days being so excited when the fax would go off in my bedroom. It was so exciting to me! I began thinking, “Wow, maybe I can really do this!”
Years passed, and I remember being in a title plant in Dallas. I literally begged the plant manager to give us a chance to do his work. I told him I would promise him that I would structure our business on exactly what the title companies needed. He could even tell me what to charge, and exactly how he wanted the work done. It would be like he had his own hotline to the courthouses. He was gracious enough to give us a chance, and I did exactly what he requested. No questions. Would it be too corny to say it really was a match made in heaven?
Many years later I took him a Christmas basket to thank him for giving us a chance all of those years ago. He said, “Rebecca, you did everything but get on your hands and knees and beg me. Did I really have a choice?” Even though that Plant Manager has come and gone those memories are still precious to me.
After having CRRG (literally my first child), I met a wonderful man and married him. Of course, our wedding date was based around when the courthouses were closed for the holidays.
I waited until after the first day of our honeymoon, before I approached my new husband and began “selling him” on the idea of leaving his company and joining me in building CRRG (he was and is an incredible tax accountant)! It took some time, but I finally was able to bring him over to “my side.” He has been with CRRG over 20 years now! We have four wonderful young adult children, two of whom work in our business which is very exciting for us.
I can’t believe that this July we will celebrate 30 years of business with all of you. Some of you have been with us for many years, and others of you are new. Please know that I feel so incredibly blessed to have gotten to share our lives together, because each of you put your trust in us. I am so very honored by your extreme kindness to us.
I have been asked many times what our “special sauce” is. I don’t hesitate, I don’t blink an eye when I get asked because I know the answer immediately.
My secret sauce is our amazing staff, who are all wonderful people. They are all incredible. They are all devoted to your success, every single one of them, and they are also devoted to our success as a company. Every single one of them have become dear friends to me.
Whenever, I think of doing something fun with a friend, ironically the first people that come to my mind are my CRRG family. They are all precious people.
May 2022 be a wonderful year for you personally, and for your company. May you know that we are all here for you, we will do whatever it takes to give you the most wonderful research with the fastest possible turn times.
